Organ Trio
Dan’s Organ Trio borrows elements from the tradition established by past organ greats such as Jimmy Smith, Brother Jack Mcduff, Jimmy McGriff, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Charles Earland and Don Patterson, but creates their own sounds that draws from influences beyond the jazz world. On any given night one can expect to hear original arrangements of past popular songs ranging from the rock group The Zombies to the theme from Star Wars.
Of course you will hear original music that draws upon the wide influences of the band members ranging from traditional be-bop to modern rock and funk, so Wes Montgomery fans and Soulive fans won’t be disappointed!
Dan’s Organ Trio has been performing since 2001 at the Jazz Estate in Milwaukee and at a wide variety of venues, from intimate jazz clubs and festivals to concert halls throughout the world.
They can even be heard in the movie “Sex and the City.”
